Kuwait Intercepts Two Ballistic Missiles, Downs Six Drones in Latest Attacks

KUWAIT CITY, March 10: Kuwait’s air defence systems intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles after they entered the country’s airspace, while six drones detected in the south of the country were also shot down, officials said during the fifth government media briefing today.

Authorities reported 15 field incidents involving shrapnel from defensive interception operations. Since the start of the ongoing aggression, a total of 329 reports related to falling debris have been recorded.

Warning sirens were activated twice during the latest incidents, bringing the total number of siren activations to 82 since the beginning of the conflict.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Social Affairs announced the activation of a comprehensive emergency plan aimed at strengthening shelter readiness and ensuring the continuity of essential services across the country.

The ministry said 95 fully equipped shelters have been prepared across Kuwait’s governorates. It has also coordinated with 76 cooperative societies to ensure the continued availability of food and basic commodities and to organize distribution if needed.

Officials added that field visits are ongoing to assess preparedness levels and provide additional resources where required.
