Kuwait Intercepts 97 Iranian Ballistic Missiles and 283 Drones

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 1: Kuwait’s air defense forces have intercepted and destroyed dozens of ballistic missiles and drones since the start of what authorities described as Iranian aggression targeting the country, the Ministry of Defense said.

Official spokesperson Col. Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan said air defense units detected 97 Iranian ballistic missiles launched toward Kuwait, along with 283 drones, all of which were engaged in accordance with established rules of engagement.

He added that the interception operations led to debris falling on several facilities across different parts of the country, resulting in minor material damage. No major losses were reported.

The General Staff of the Army urged citizens and residents to rely on official sources for information and refrain from spreading rumors or unverified reports.
