Kuwait Intercepts 8 Missiles and 19 Drones, Urges Public to Avoid Debris

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 4: The Ministry of Defense announced that the Armed Forces successfully monitored and responded to aerial threats over the past 24 hours, intercepting eight ballistic missiles and 19 hostile drones within Kuwaiti airspace without any reported casualties or material damage.

Official spokesperson Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi said the threats were handled in accordance with established procedures, highlighting the Armed Forces’ high level of readiness amid ongoing regional tensions.

He added that Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Inspection teams from the Land Force Engineering units dealt with four separate reports related to debris and potential dangerous remnants.

Authorities urged citizens and residents to avoid approaching or touching any drone wreckage or scattered components due to the danger they may pose, and to immediately report such findings by calling the emergency number 112.

The Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the country, stressing continued coordination with security agencies and state institutions to confront evolving threats and ensure public safety.
