KUWAIT CITY, Mar 17: The Kuwaiti armed forces successfully intercepted two hostile ballistic missiles and 13 drones over the past 24 hours, according to Saud Al-Otaibi, spokesperson for the Kuwait Ministry of Defense.
Speaking during a media briefing on the latest regional developments, Brigadier General Al-Otaibi confirmed that air defense systems responded effectively to the incoming threats, preventing any significant material damage.
He added that two individuals sustained minor injuries due to falling shrapnel. Both were treated promptly, and their condition has been reported as stable.
The Inspection and Disposal of Explosives Unit in Kuwait responded to eight reports over the past 24 hours, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and address potential threats.
He further stated that specialized teams acted swiftly to assess and handle each case in line with established safety protocols, reflecting the country’s heightened vigilance amid current regional developments.
Authorities also underscored the unwavering dedication of military and security personnel, emphasizing that members of the armed forces and security agencies remain fully committed to safeguarding the nation. They reaffirmed their readiness to sacrifice in the line of duty to preserve Kuwait’s security and stability.
