Kuwait Intercepts 14 Missiles, 2 Cruise Missiles, and 46 Drones; Shrapnel Causes Injuries in North

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 6: The Kuwaiti Armed Forces said they monitored and responded to a series of aerial threats over the past 24 hours, including ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and hostile drones entering Kuwaiti airspace.

In a statement issued by Official Spokesperson Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, the military confirmed that air defence systems dealt with 14 ballistic missiles, 2 cruise missiles, and 46 hostile drones in accordance with established procedures.

Shrapnel Incident and Injuries

The statement said debris from intercepted targets fell in a residential area in the north of the country, resulting in injuries. Authorities have launched procedures to manage the aftermath and assess the damage.

Military firefighting teams responded to 3 incidents

All operations were carried out under approved protocols, the statement added.

The Ministry of Defence emphasized that personnel remain on high alert and continue to perform their duties with “determination and discipline,” citing high readiness levels aimed at safeguarding national security and stability.
