Kuwait Intensifies Checkpoint Monitoring to Safeguard Public Safety

KUWAIT CITY, March 24: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior Undersecretary, Major General Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Wuhaib, conducted an extensive field inspection of security checkpoints across the country as part of ongoing efforts to evaluate operational readiness and strengthen public safety.

The inspection tour, held on Monday, included visits to checkpoints operated by various security directorates, the General Directorate of Traffic, and the General Directorate of Emergency Police. He was accompanied by Major General Hamad Al-Munifi, Head of the Security Directorates Sector, and Brigadier Abdullah Al-Atiqi, Head of the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector.

During the tour, Al-Wuhaib reviewed field operations and the deployment of personnel at checkpoints nationwide. He was briefed on security plans and precautionary measures being implemented in response to the current domestic and regional situation, aimed at enhancing stability, enforcing the rule of law, and safeguarding lives and property.

The undersecretary highlighted the critical role of checkpoints in maintaining security, monitoring movements, and apprehending violators. He called for heightened vigilance and firm action against any threats to public safety, stressing the importance of applying the law equally to all.

Concluding his tour, Al-Wuhaib praised the dedication and professionalism of field personnel, commending their continuous efforts and round-the-clock presence in ensuring security and stability across Kuwait.
