KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: A joint inspection campaign in the Sabah Al-Salem area has resulted in the issuance of 48 violation reports as authorities stepped up efforts to protect consumer rights, combat commercial fraud and ensure compliance with market regulations.

The campaign was conducted through cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Security Directorate, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, and the Public Authority for Manpower.

Emergency teams from Al-Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorates took part in the inspection drive, which aimed to verify compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing commercial activities.

The inspections focused on protecting consumers from commercial fraud, ensuring adherence to announced prices, checking the clarity of food-related information and safety data, and improving the quality of goods and services.

Authorities said the campaign was part of broader efforts to strengthen market oversight, safeguard consumer interests and promote market stability.

A total of 48 violation reports were issued for various offences, and the prescribed legal measures were taken against the violators in coordination with the relevant authorities.
