KUWAIT CITY, July 26: Under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Kuwait signed a contract for the construction, operation and maintenance of the Northern Kabd Wastewater Treatment Plant and its associated works, marking the second cooperation agreement with China. Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Mohammad Al-Mashaan signed the contract on behalf of Kuwait in the presence of Chinese Ambassador to the country Yang Xin. The project reflects Kuwait’s commitment to implementing strategic projects aimed at upgrading infrastructure quality, enhancing environmental sustainability and improving the efficiency of the country’s wastewater treatment system in line with urban growth, sustainable development goals and Kuwait’s long-term development vision. The signing ceremony was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah, Acting Head of the Prime Minister’s Diwan Sheikh Khaled Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, and Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works Eid Al-Rasheedi.
