KUWAIT CITY, April 27: A new Ministerial Decision has been issued, amending provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 81/1976, which governs the executive regulations of the Traffic Law, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The resolution, published in its first article, modifies Article ‘211 bis’ of the Traffic Law to align with Clause ‘7’ of Article ‘41’ in Decree-Law No. 5/2025, which revises aspects of Decree-Law No. 67/1976 related to traffic violations. Under the amended provisions, the settlement amounts for speeding violations will be based on the extent to which the speed limit is exceeded. The revised fines are as follows:
- A fine of 70 dinars for exceeding the speed limit by no more than 20 kilometers.
- A fine of 80 dinars for exceeding the speed limit by more than 20 kilometers but up to 30 kilometers.
- A fine of 90 dinars for exceeding the speed limit by more than 30 kilometers but up to 40 kilometers.
- A fine of 100 hundred dinars for exceeding the speed limit by more than 40 kilometers but up to 50 kilometers.
- A fine of 120 dinars for exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 kilometers but up to 60 kilometers.
- A fine of 130 dinars for exceeding the speed limit by more than 60 kilometers but up to 70 kilometers.
- A fine of 150 dinars for exceeding the speed limit by more than 70 kilometers.
