KUWAIT CITY, Jan 2: Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mohammed Al-Aiban, has issued a decree prohibiting the export of fresh eggs to foreign markets. According to reliable sources, this decision aims to maintain a consistent supply of eggs in the domestic market, considering both peak production periods and periods of reduced production. The goal is to ensure a steady availability of eggs as an essential commodity at reasonable prices.

The sources emphasized that the export ban is contingent upon maintaining stable prices and sufficient quantities in the local market during specific times of the year. Cooperative societies have faced shortages in their egg supplies for several days, leading the Ministry of Commerce to swiftly address the issue and prevent any further escalation of the crisis.
