Kuwait honors the two Navy servicemen Sergeant Waleed Majeed Suleiman and Sergeant Abdulaziz Abdulmohsen Dakhel Nasser. The two martyrs were given a solemn military funeral procession with a large number of mourners in attendance.

KUWAIT CITY, March 3: Kuwait honored the two Navy servicemen, Sergeant Waleed Majeed Suleiman and Sergeant Abdulaziz Abdulmohsen Dakhel Nasser, who were martyred while performing their national duty to protect the homeland and defend its sovereignty in the midst of the brutal Iranian aggression. The two martyrs were given a solemn military funeral procession with a large number of mourners in attendance. The procession was led by senior military officials, including Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army Lieutenant General Khaled Daraj Al-Shuraiaan and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mishal.

All those present expressed immense pride in the two men, affirming that there is no sacrifice nobler than martyrdom in the service of one’s country, while celebrating their ultimate act of defending Kuwait and its territory. Several countries in the region expressed condolences and solidarity with Kuwait. Saudi Arabia voiced its deepest sympathies, affirming full support and readiness to assist Kuwait in any measures necessary, while wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Jordan similarly extended sincere condolences, emphasizing their solidarity with Kuwait and support for all measures to safeguard its sovereignty and security. Qatar specifically offered prayers for mercy upon the martyrs’ souls and recovery for the injured, while also sending sympathies to the families.

Meanwhile, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah stressed that the situation in the country is “beyond excellent,” describing the recent developments as “a crisis that will pass, no matter how severe it becomes.” Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef made the statement when he visited the Civil Defense decision-making room on Tuesday, indicating that all concerned authorities are performing their roles to the fullest in the interest of the citizens and expatriates. He disclosed that the visit is aimed at thanking the staff for their continuous work and tireless efforts to serve Kuwait.

He pointed out that incoming reports are dealt with immediately and referred to the relevant authorities. “In case the need to activate the sirens arises, the necessary procedures are implemented,” he added. He said the participating entities include the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Information, Kuwait Red Crescent Society and other agencies working in an integrated manner to serve Kuwait and all those living here. He also touched on the statement issued by the Ministry of Interior to put an end to rumors and irresponsible photographing and publication of images that should not be shown due to their impact on the people. He emphasized that official information is issued only by the concerned agencies like the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Information and others, stressing that the Ministry of Defense is the entity in charge of current developments. He stated that those filming any scenes should not publish them, as State authorities are the only ones mandated to publish whatever is necessary. He urged everyone to adhere to the security measures that will be strictly enforced. He said “My priority as Minister of Interior is to reassure everyone living in Kuwait.

Some people do not learn from what is happening. I will take every measure we can as to apply the law on anyone, regardless of their position or status. Please abide by the instructions issued by the State.” In another development, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef chaired the meeting with all relevant State agencies at the Civil Defense Joint Operations Room. This meeting is part of the commitment of the senior leadership of the Interior Ministry to continue field monitoring and ensure preparedness for various situations. In a press statement, the ministry announced that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef reviewed the operational procedures in the Operations Unit and was briefed by the representatives of the concerned government agencies present at the meeting. The briefing covered the tasks and responsibilities of each agency, as well as the procedures for immediate response to reports and incident management. Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef commended the strong coordination among all participating agencies. He expressed his appreciation for their efforts and teamwork, which guarantee the efficiency of field operations and the ability to deal with emergency situations in a professional manner.

At the conclusion of the meeting, he underscored the importance of maintaining this integrated approach and preserving the highest level of vigilance and preparedness. He stressed that concerted efforts and the protection of lives and properties are the top priorities, wishing everyone success in fulfilling their national duty. In related news, a total of 178 ballistic missiles and 384 drones have been monitored and intercepted since the launching of the Iranian aggression on Kuwait, according to the country’s Ministry of Defense. In addition, 27 members of the Kuwaiti army have been injured, the ministry’s Spokesman Col. Saud Al-Atwan said in a press statement, adding that they are in stable condition and two of them are receiving medical treatment. He reassured that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces are on high alert and working with high efficiency around the clock.
