KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: The General Traffic Department, under the leadership of Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Al-Ateeqi, Head of the Traffic Affairs and Operations Sector, and Brigadier Badr Ghazi Al-Qattan, Assistant Director General of Traffic for Traffic Regulation Affairs, carried out an extensive field traffic campaign utilizing advanced radar monitoring devices on major highways across the country.

The campaign was organized as part of the department’s continuous efforts to curb reckless driving, enforce speed limits, and promote traffic discipline among motorists. Its primary objective was to apprehend drivers exceeding legal speed limits, thereby reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring greater safety for all road users.

Officials emphasized that such field operations are conducted regularly to strengthen the culture of road safety and to deter violations that endanger lives. The General Traffic Department reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining strict surveillance on highways and implementing the necessary legal measures against violators, in line with its mission to create safer and more orderly roads throughout the country.
