KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: The Kuwait youth squash team departed yesterday for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to take part in the 17th Kuala Lumpur Squash Open, scheduled from December 2 to 7.
The delegation is headed by Board Member Ahmed Al-Adwani, alongside Board Member Adel Al-Gharib in an administrative capacity, and is supported by coaches Ahmed Abdel Aal and Majid Aziz Khan. The team players include Salman Al-Saleh, Saleh Ashkanani, Abdullah Maayouf, Khalid Al-Madhan, Abdulaziz Al-Mesbahi, and Hamoud Al-Sawagh.
Before the tournament, the team will participate in a five-day training camp, featuring friendly matches against top Malaysian junior players and morning practice sessions. Malaysia is renowned for producing some of Asia’s strongest young squash players.
This participation forms part of the Kuwait Squash Federation’s ongoing strategy to develop national teams, enhance player experience, and gain international exposure.
