KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: Kuwait’s national beach volleyball teams for men and women have departed for Beirut, Lebanon, to compete in the Arab Beach Volleyball Championship from September 1 to 6, followed immediately by the West Asia Championship running from September 6 to 12.

The delegation is led by Issa Al-Saleem and coached by Ahmed Abdulrazzaq. Men’s Team A features Abdulwahab Talib and Taha Al-Kaabi, while Team B includes Nawaf Al-Rashidi and Ibrahim Diaa. The women’s team, known as the Blue Beach Volleyball Team, includes manager Reem Al-Zaabi and players Halima Al-Rashed and Alaa Al-Bahwah.

Earlier this year, Kuwait’s men’s team competed in the 3rd GCC Beach Games in Muscat, Oman, in April. Both men’s and women’s teams also took part in the West Asia Championship in Qatar last May, after intensive local training sessions on the beaches of Al-Jeeza Al-Khadra.

The teams aim to build on their previous regional experiences and deliver strong performances in both tournaments.
