Kuwait Handles 5 Shrapnel Incidents, Enforces New Anti-Terror Law

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 16: During a media briefing on current developments amid Iranian aggression, Interior Ministry spokesperson Brigadier General Nasser Al-Bousaleeb reported that explosive ordnance disposal teams responded to five incidents in the past 24 hours involving shrapnel from defensive interception operations.

He also highlighted the recent enactment of Decree by Law No. 47 of 2026 on combating terrorism, emphasizing the state’s commitment to safeguarding internal security and public order. Article 11 of the law outlines severe penalties, including execution or imprisonment, for acts such as training individuals in weapons, ammunition use, or martial arts intended for terrorist activities.
