KUWAIT CITY, Mar 9: The Kuwait Ministry of Interior on Monday warned the public against approaching any suspicious objects or shrapnel and urged immediate reporting through the emergency hotline (112). The ministry emphasized its readiness and coordination with relevant authorities to maintain national security and public safety amid ongoing regional tensions.

Brigadier General Nasser Bouslaib, Director General of the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media and spokesperson for the ministry, said that since midnight on Sunday, March 8, authorities have responded to multiple reports of shrapnel falling in various locations. Explosive ordnance disposal teams dealt with 16 field reports over the past day, bringing the total number of reports handled since the start of the aggression to 314.

Bouslaib added that sirens were activated four times recently, bringing the total activations since the beginning of the aggression to 80, and highlighted several locations where specialized teams are currently clearing shrapnel.

He also outlined an organizational plan, coordinated with relevant state sectors, for the last ten days of Ramadan. The plan includes specific times for Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers and other religious observances, all within a framework of security measures to ensure public safety.

Brigadier General Bouslaib concluded by praying for the protection of Kuwait and its people under the leadership of the Emir, Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Crown Prince Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
