KUWAIT CITY, Mar 7: Brigadier General Nasser Bouslaib, Director General of Security Relations and Media at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, affirmed during Saturday's second joint media briefing by the Government Communication Center that security and military authorities are operating 24/7 within a fully integrated national system. He emphasized their high readiness and coordination to monitor developments and handle any emergencies while safeguarding public security and safety.
Various service agencies are functioning at full capacity to maintain uninterrupted basic services, prepared to activate contingency plans as needed amid ongoing regional tensions.
Explosive Ordnance Disposal Teams Handle 229 Shrapnel Incidents
Field disposal teams from the Kuwaiti Army, Ministry of Interior, and National Guard responded to 64 new reports of shrapnel and foreign objects since Friday midnight, raising the total to 229 cases since the start of Iranian aggression. All incidents were addressed "quickly and efficiently."
Civil Defense Activated 67 Warning Sirens
The General Directorate of Civil Defense triggered 17 additional warning sirens, bringing the cumulative total to 67 since hostilities began, protecting citizens' and residents' lives and property.
Visa Extensions Granted For Visitors and Residents
In response to exceptional circumstances, the Ministry of Interior announced an automatic one-month extension of visit visas expiring on or after February 28, free of charge or fines. Residents abroad receive a three-month absence extension via the automated system, with further extensions possible based on developments.
Social Media Warning Issued
Brigadier General Bouslaib urged compliance with social media regulations, prohibiting content on military operations, missiles, or divisive videos/images that incite sedition or sectarianism. Such violations carry legal accountability, calling for national responsibility to preserve unity and security.
