Kuwait Handball Team Qualifies for World Cup After 15-Year Absence

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 26: The Kuwait national handball team secured the fourth position in the 21st Asian Handball Championship (World Cup qualifiers for Croatia, Denmark, and Norway 2025) following a defeat to host Bahrain with a score of 17-26 (first half 12-6). With this result, the “Blue” concludes its participation in the tournament, marking a significant achievement by qualifying for the World Cup after a 15-year absence.

Mishal Al-Qabandi, a member of the Board of Directors, expressed praise for the team’s qualification to the World Handball World Cup, highlighting the considerable effort invested by the federation, administrative and technical staff, and players. This collaborative endeavor successfully placed Kuwait back on the global handball map after an extended hiatus. Al-Qabandi commended the players for their resilience and determination in overcoming challenges and obstacles.
