Kuwait Handball Federation commemorates the handball team World Cup qualification

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3: At 6:30 pm today, Kuwait Handball Federation is set to host a ceremony at its headquarters in the Martyr Fahd Al-Ahmad Center in Daiya to honor the players of our first national team. This celebration marks the remarkable achievement of the team qualifying for the World Cup finals, scheduled to take place from January 14 to February 2, 2025, in Croatia, Denmark, and Norway.

Kuwait showcased their prowess in the 21st Asian Cup recently held in Manama, Bahrain, securing a fourth-place finish and earning a spot in the World Cup after a 15-year absence. Notably, the last participation of the “team in the World Cup was in Croatia in 2009. To recognize their achievement, the Kuwait Handball Fedetration announced a financial reward of one thousand dinars for each player.

In other sports news, Al-Arabi Club has officially signed a contract with goalkeeper Ali Al-Moussawi for the upcoming season. Al-Moussawi, with a diverse playing history that includes stints with Al-Tadamon, Al-Kuwait, Al-Sahel, Kazma, Al-Fahaheel, and Burgan clubs last season, brings valuable experience to the team.
