KUWAIT, April 20, (KUNA): The Kuwait Handball Association announced the nomination of two of its board members for the upcoming elections of the Arab Handball Federation, set to take place next June.
The nominees are Talal Al-Otaibi for a seat in the Executive Office and Ahmad Al-Mutawa for membership in the Referees Committee, the association said in a statement on the social media platform X.
In remarks to KUNA, Al-Otaibi expressed pride in the nomination, affirming his commitment to serving Kuwaiti sports in any position he assumes.
For his part, Al-Mutawa described his nomination to the Arab Federation’s Referees Committee as both an honor and a major responsibility. He praised the efforts of the Kuwait Handball Association and its continued support.
He added that the opportunity would help enhance the experience of Kuwaiti sports cadres in a way that serves the development of the game, stressing his full commitment to representing Kuwait in the best possible manner and working within a team spirit to achieve shared goals.
The nominations come as part of the Kuwait Handball Association’s strategy to strengthen Kuwait’s presence in regional and international sports arenas.
