KUWAIT CITY, Jul 31: Kuwait's Public Authority of Food and Nutrition carried out an inspection campaign targeting food establishments in Farwaniya as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen regulatory oversight and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
The inspection, conducted by the Farwaniya Food Inspection Control team, resulted in several violations being issued against establishments and workers for breaches of food safety requirements.
Authorities recorded one violation for trading in adulterated food. Two additional violations were issued against workers engaged in food trading without valid health certificates, while another two violations were issued against employers for employing workers who had not obtained the required health certificates.
During the inspection, authorities also issued a destruction report for a quantity of meat weighing a total of 195.2 kilograms. The seized meat was destroyed in accordance with the applicable legal procedures.
The inspection tour forms part of continued efforts by the authorities to strengthen monitoring of food establishments, protect consumers, safeguard public health and take legal action against those found violating food safety regulations.
