Kuwait food authority issues 11 violations, destroys 55kg of rotten food in Khaitan

KUWAIT CITY, Jul 22: The General Authority for Food and Nutrition carried out an inspection campaign targeting food establishments in the Khaitan area as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with health standards and food safety regulations.

During the inspection tour, authorities issued 11 violation reports against food establishments found failing to meet required health and regulatory conditions.

Inspectors also issued two destruction reports for food items deemed unfit for human consumption, with a total weight of 55 kilograms. The materials were destroyed in accordance with approved legal procedures.

The authority said the inspection campaigns are part of its continuous efforts to strengthen monitoring of food establishments, safeguard public health, and take legal action against businesses violating food safety requirements.
