Kuwait Food Authority Gives 60 Days to Pay Fines or File Appeals

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 14: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) has issued a public advisory outlining procedures for paying fines and filing appeals, emphasizing compliance with legal timelines.

In a notice addressed to consumers, the authority stated that fines must be settled within 60 days from the date of issuance. Individuals also have the right to file an appeal within the same 60-day period, provided all required documentation is submitted.

The authority warned that failure to pay the fine or rejection of an appeal would result in the completion of legal procedures against the concerned party.

The clarification is part of ongoing efforts by Kuwait regulators to ensure transparency and awareness of consumer obligations under food safety and compliance laws.
