Kuwait Food Authority finds over 70 violations in recent inspections

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23, (Agencies): The General Authority for Food and Nutrition continued its inspection campaigns across various regions in Kuwait over the past two days as part of their regulatory oversight on food establishments. These inspections resulted in numerous violations. In the Al-Ahmadi Governorate, the Authority’s inspectors conducted an inspection tour of markets, restaurants, and places involved in food trading in the Al-Aqila and Fintas areas, leading to the issuance of 17 violations and 9 commitments.

Inspectors in the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate carried out an inspection tour in the Sabhan Industrial Area, resulting in the issuance of 9 violations and 2 commitments. In Hawally, the inspection campaign led to the issuance of 45 violations, 3 commitments, and the closure of two non-compliant establishments.

The Food and Nutrition Authority reported a total of over 70 violations and 15 commitments in these recent inspection campaigns.
