KUWAIT CITY, Mar 30: Kuwait’s Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, through its Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Inspection Department, carried out intensified field inspections across food establishments during March 2026 to ensure compliance with health standards and protect public safety.

The campaign covered 379 food establishments, resulting in 49 violations and the immediate handling of five complaints. Authorities also destroyed 18.275 kilograms of spoiled fish unfit for human consumption.

Inspections focused on verifying food compliance, preparation methods, and storage safety, with violations including the sale of food without health certificates, improper display of goods, and breaches of hygiene regulations. The authority reaffirmed its commitment to the strict enforcement of food safety laws to safeguard consumers.
