KUWAIT CITY, May 29: The General Directorate for Drug Control, under the Ministry of Interior, announced that it has successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of the narcotic substance Meth “shabu” into the country, arresting two Arab nationals involved in the operation.

According to the authorities, the case came to light after the receipt of precise confidential information indicating a sophisticated plan to bring drugs into the country using an unconventional concealment method.

Security teams intensified surveillance, investigations, and monitoring of suspect movements, which led to the identification and arrest of the individuals involved. Upon inspection, authorities discovered approximately 12 kilograms of shabu in their possession.

Investigators revealed that the suspects had concealed the narcotics inside heavy industrial equipment, specifically hydraulic cylinders used in excavators and trucks, in an attempt to evade detection and mislead security personnel at entry points.

The Ministry of Interior, through the General Directorate for Drug Control, stated that the seized narcotics were confiscated and the suspects were referred to the competent authorities for legal action.

The Ministry of Interior (Kuwait) reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining strict vigilance against drug trafficking networks, emphasizing that security agencies will continue to act decisively against anyone attempting to undermine the safety and stability of society.
