Kuwait FM Holds Calls with Qatar, UAE Counterparts on Regional Tensions

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 15: Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held separate phone conversations on Sunday with senior officials from Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to discuss the escalating military tensions in the region following Iran’s attacks on several countries.

During a call with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, the two officials reviewed the latest developments in the region and the consequences of the ongoing escalation.

In a separate call, Sheikh Jarrah also spoke with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

The discussions focused on the growing military tensions resulting from Iran’s aggression against regional countries and the serious repercussions such developments pose for security and stability at both the regional and international levels. The officials also reviewed the broader implications of the escalation and the need to address the situation to safeguard regional stability.
