Kuwait Flour Mills will not be privatized

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Mazen Al-Nahedh affirms that there is no truth to the existence of a tendency to privatize the Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company, reports Al- Anba daily. In an exclusive press statement, Minister Al-Nahedh said all the information circulating on this issue is totally incorrect, insisting that the privatization of KFMBC is out of the question.

According to informed sources, KFMBC was able to maintain its leadership in the food industry through its constant keenness to develop its factories according to the latest technologies and scientific means, and its commitment to internationally approved quality standards by international accreditation bodies. It also succeeded in obtaining the ISO 22000 certificate for its production facilities that cover all its factories and bakeries.
