KUWAIT CITY, March 12: A fire broke out in a residential building in southern Kuwait after it was struck by a drone, leaving two people injured, according to the Kuwait Fire Force.
Brigadier General Mohammed Badar Ibrahim, the official spokesperson for the fire service, said on Thursday that firefighting teams successfully extinguished the blaze after responding swiftly to the incident.
He explained that emergency crews immediately evacuated all residents from the building upon arrival to ensure their safety. The two injured individuals were treated by the authorities, he added, without providing further details on the severity of their injuries.
Brig. Gen. Ibrahim urged the public to rely only on information issued through official channels and avoid circulating rumors or unverified reports. He stressed that the Fire Force remains committed to providing updates on developments through its approved platforms.
Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the drone strike.
