KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: The Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) has been awarded the internationally recognized ISO 9001:2015 certification, marking a major milestone in the department’s pursuit of institutional excellence, KFSD Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi announced on Wednesday.
In a press statement, Al-Roumi confirmed that the certification was granted following KFSD’s successful implementation of globally recognized quality standards across all its sectors. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the directives and support of Kuwait’s political leadership and represents a significant step forward in the department’s ongoing journey of development and modernization.
"This accomplishment highlights our commitment to applying the highest standards of quality and institutional excellence," Al-Roumi stated, adding that the initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision to enhance public sector performance, operational efficiency, and public safety.
He further explained that the ISO 9001:2015 certification reinforces KFSD’s efforts to integrate quality, transparency, and excellence into all its departments, boosting overall performance while keeping pace with international best practices in government work.
Al-Roumi extended his gratitude to the work teams and all military and civilian personnel whose dedication and efforts were instrumental in securing the certification.
