Fire safety sweep leads to closures and penalties in Kuwait.
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: Kuwait’s General Fire Force on Monday conducted an inspection campaign in Shuwaikh Industrial Area 2, closing 61 establishments for safety violations, authorities said.
The operation, carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, the Public Authority for Industry, and Kuwait Municipality, targeted buildings and facilities that failed to comply with fire prevention and safety regulations.
In addition to the closures, inspectors issued 97 violation notices to other facilities that did not meet the General Fire Force’s requirements.
