The Fire Department and the Army General Staff sign a joint cooperation protocol in the prevention, combat, search, and rescue fields.

KUWAIT CITY, May 20: The Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) on Tuesday signed a joint cooperation protocol with the Army General Staff to enhance coordination and operational integration between the country’s military institutions.

In a statement, the KFF said the signing ceremony was attended by Fire Force Chief of Staff Major General Talal Al-Roumi, Deputy Army Chief of Staff Air Vice Marshal Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and senior commanders from both sides.

The agreement reflects a shared commitment to strengthen institutional collaboration in service of national interests by streamlining procedures and exchanging expertise within the framework of existing regulations.

Signed at KFF headquarters, the protocol outlines key areas of cooperation including joint training, exercises, workshops, logistical support, and coordination in firefighting, prevention, search and rescue, shelter, and humanitarian relief operations.

The initiative aims to enhance readiness, raise professional standards, and boost the ability of both institutions to effectively respond to security and humanitarian challenges.

The protocol also marks a step forward in developing a unified operational system among Kuwait’s military entities and reinforces the principles of collective action during crises and emergencies.
