Kuwait finish second in two int’l shooting contests

KUWAIT CITY, March 1 : Kuwait on Wednesday finished runners- up behind Kazakhstan in a pair of international shooting contests held concurrently, having bagged a cumulative total of 10 medals. Kuwaiti athletes lived up to expectations as they put forth impressive performances in the His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah International Shooting Competition and the Asian Cup, respectively, said Kuwaiti Shooting Federation chief Duaij Al-Otaibi.

The official went on to applaud the meticulous efforts that went into organizing the two competitions, both of which were sponsored by the country’s political leadership. The experience of competing in events of such magnitude will serve the Kuwaiti athletes well ahead of future competitions, according to the federation’s secretary Obaid Al-Osaimi. (KUNA)
