KUWAIT CITY, May 17: The State of Kuwait’s Ministry of Finance stated that Minister Dr. Yaqoub Al-Sayed Yousef Al-Rifai held talks with the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Qudsi Rasheed, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation across financial, economic, and investment sectors.
According to a ministry press release, the meeting was attended by officials from both sides and focused on expanding strategic partnerships and reviewing current regional developments, along with their economic and financial implications at both regional and international levels.
Both sides reaffirmed the longstanding and strategic relations between Kuwait and the United Kingdom, highlighting their foundation of mutual trust and cooperation, particularly in economic and investment areas.
The British ambassador praised the strong ties between the two countries and expressed the UK’s commitment to further enhancing collaboration across various sectors.
Minister Al-Rifai, in turn, reiterated Kuwait’s commitment to deepening economic and investment cooperation with the United Kingdom, stressing that such partnerships contribute to sustainable development goals and mutual benefits for both nations.
