Kuwait figure skaters grab up to 17 medals in Int’l tourney

KUWAIT CITY, May 10:The Kuwaiti figure skating girls team grabbed up to 17 medals in the (online) open international tournament that concluded in the Romanian capital Bucharest. The head of Kuwait Winter Games Club Fehaid Al-Ajmi said in a statement to KUNA, on Monday, that the national champions won nine gold medals, six silver medals and a bronze one in the three-day competitions. Al-Ajmi praised the Kuwaiti female players for their outstanding performance vis a vis top-notch competitors from various countries.

Hussa Al-Saraawi won two gold medals, Khairiyah Al-Kanderi grabbed two gold ones. Other Kuwaiti players, Lulwa Al-Darman and Lara Al-Barrak each snatched one gold and one silver medal. Sara Al-Laho, another Kuwaiti champion, grabbed two silver medals.
