JAKARTA, Jan 27: Kuwait suffered a narrow 5-4 defeat to Vietnam in its opening Group B match at the AFC Futsal Asian Cup finals in Jakarta, Indonesia. In the same group, Thailand secured a 2-0 win over Lebanon.
Kuwait’s goals came from Abdullah Thamer, Abdulaziz Burashid, Omar Al-Shatti, and Abdulaziz Al-Hajri.
Following the first round of matches, Kuwait sits third in the group with no points. Thailand and Vietnam lead the standings with 3 points each, while Lebanon remains at the bottom with 0 points.
