MANAMA, Jan 18: Kuwait is set to play its second match in the second group of the 21st edition of the Asian Handball Championship, currently taking place in Manama, Bahrain  at 3:00 pm. The championship concludes on the 25th of this month, and our team will face the Korean national team at the Khalifa Sports Hall.

In today's matches, Bahrain will also meet Iraq in the same role and group, while in the first group, Qatar will play against Iran, and Japan will face the Emirates.In the consolation rounds, Kazakhstan will compete against China, Hong Kong will face New Zealand, India will play against Oman, and Saudi Arabia will meet China's Taipei.

Kuwait secured a second-place finish in the preliminary round's first group, earning a spot alongside Qatar in the main round. They continue their journey in the competition for the championship title.As per the tournament system, the top two teams from each main round group will qualify for the semi-finals. These teams will also secure their spots in the 2025 World Cup finals, to be held in three countries: Croatia, Denmark, and Norway.
