KUWAIT CITY, Dec 25: Director of the Meteorological Department, Dhirar Al-Ali, forecasted that the country would experience chances of fog formation and scattered light rain in some areas, with moderate and cloudy weather during the day and cold nights over the weekend. Al-Ali explained to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country will be affected by a surface high-pressure extension from the northwest, accompanied by a cold air mass, coinciding with a cold upper-level low, causing an accumulation of low and medium clouds. Chances of fog and scattered light rain are expected in some areas on Friday evening and on Saturday morning, with northwesterly winds shifting to southeasterly on Saturday at light to moderate speeds.
On Friday, the weather during the day will be moderate and partly cloudy, with northwesterly to variable winds, light to moderate, ranging from 6 to 26 km/h, and a chance of fog in the evening. Expected maximum temperatures will range between 18°C and 20°C, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves between one and three feet. Friday night will be cold and partly cloudy, with variable light winds ranging from 8 to 22 km/h, a chance of fog in some areas, and the possibility of light rain. Expected minimum temperatures will range between 10°C and 12°C, and the sea will be light, with waves between one and two feet. On Saturday, the weather during the day will be moderate and partly cloudy, with variable to southeasterly winds, light to moderate, ranging from 6 to 26 km/h, and a chance of scattered light rain and evening fog.
Expected maximum temperatures will range between 19°C and 21°C, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves between one and three feet. Saturday night will be cold, with southeasterly to variable winds, light to moderate, ranging from 8 to 26 km/h, and a chance of fog in some areas.
