KUWAIT, Sept 26: The Kuwait Football Association has apologized to the national team’s supporters after the Blues failed to reach the semi-finals of the Gulf 27 competition following a 3-2 defeat to Iraq.
The association thanked Kuwaiti fans for their strong support during the team’s matches against Saudi Arabia and Iraq and said the technical and administrative staff will submit a report examining the reasons for the team’s early exit, identifying shortcomings and proposing solutions to improve performance in upcoming competitions.
In appreciation of the fans’ support, the Kuwait Football Association also announced that they will receive free tickets to all Saudi Super Cup matches scheduled to be held at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in December.
