KUWAIT CITY, June 6: The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) submitted a project contract valued at KD9,992,000 to the State Audit Bureau (SAB) for preliminary audit and oversight, confirming the report published by the newspaper about the goal of the government to eliminate paper transactions within three years. Unless certain observations necessitate a formal response from the agency, SAB will present its official opinion on the contract.

Furthermore, the agency obtained two-thirds majority approval from its Board of Directors for the direct contract with a global telecommunications provider. As the authorized distributor of AFA Cloud Google, this company will provide services for three years at an estimated cost of $32,423,000. This project signals the vital shift toward comprehensive digital transformation and supports the national development agenda to promote transparent and interconnected government. By digitizing all administrative procedures, the project aims to phase out manual paperwork, and a secure digital infrastructure designed to boost service reliability and streamline integration in various platforms will be utilized.
