Kuwait Extends Deadline for Surrendering Unlicensed Weapons by One Week

KUWAIT CITY, April 1: The Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday the extension of the exceptional deadline for surrendering unlicensed firearms, ammunition, and explosives for an additional week.

In a statement, the ministry said the new deadline will run from April 1 until the end of official working hours on April 8, 2026.

The extension aims to provide individuals with more time to voluntarily hand over unlicensed weapons, contributing to enhanced security and public safety, while allowing violators to regularise their status in accordance with legal procedures, the ministry added.
