KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: Data issued by Saudi General Authority for Statistics showed that the volume of Kuwaiti exports to the Kingdom in July 2022 reached SAR 143 million -- 35 percent or SAR 77.7 million lower compared to SAR 220.4 million in July 2021, reports Al-Anba daily. The data indicated that Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports from other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in July totaled SAR 6.96 billion -- 46 percent or SAR 2.2 billion increase compared to the same period in 2021 when the value was SAR 4.75 billion.

During the same period, the United Arab Emirates acquired 55 percent of the total Gulf exports to Saudi Arabia; as the value of its exports to the Kingdom amounted to SAR 3.79 billion -- 21 percent or SAR 654.9 million higher -- compared to the same period in 2021 when the value was SAR 3.14 billion. Also, compared to June 2022, Saudi Arabia’s imports from the Gulf countries in July increased by four percent or SAR 295.5 million.
