KUWAIT CITY, Aug. 6: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi has issued a ministerial decision exempting accredited diplomats from GCC countries and nine other nations from health service and medication fees in Kuwait.
The exemption applies to diplomats holding diplomatic identity cards and accredited to the State of Kuwait. In addition to diplomats from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, the decision covers representatives from the Kingdom of Morocco, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Kingdom of Bhutan, Italian Republic, Republic of Albania, Republic of Cyprus, Federative Republic of Brazil, Republic of Argentina, and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The Ministry of Health said the decision forms part of its framework for regulating exemptions from health service and pharmaceutical fees for eligible categories, in accordance with the ministry's approved regulations governing diplomatic privileges.
