Kuwait Equestrian League continues with strong rivalries at the Sahara Resort

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: Kuwait Equestrian Federation Secretary-General and rider Ghazi Al-Juraibi affirmed that the 2025-2026 sports season will be packed with top-level international tournaments, supported by both the public and private sectors. He added that the local league will feature seven rounds, alongside the participation of Kuwait’s national team stars in several domestic and international championships.

The second round of the fifth edition of the Equestrian League will be held this afternoon at the Sahara Equestrian Resort in Subhan, with riders from all local clubs taking part. The round offers total prize money of KD 13,000 for the top finishers, and fierce competition is expected among the country’s best riders for the leading spots.

Today’s contests include jumping heights of 60, 80, 105, 115, 125, and 135 cm. The action continues tomorrow afternoon with six additional rounds at 70, 90, 110, 120, and 130 cm, before concluding with the Grand Prix event at 140 cm.

Following the opening round, Al-Nuaimi leads the standings with 27 points, trailed by Abdullah Al-Roudhan with 18, Fawaz Al-Subaie with 14, Rakan Al-Hasawi with 12, Ali Al-Kharafi with 9, Fahad Al-Faleh with 8, Khaled Al-Khubaizi with 6, Yara Al-Hunaydi with 5, Abdullah Al-Awadhi with 3, and Abdulwahab Al-Faris with 2 points.
