KUWAIT CITY Oct 12: The inaugural event of the Kuwait Equestrian Center Show Jumping Championship for the 2023-2024 sports season commences today at 5:00 PM. The championship has drawn substantial participation from both male and female riders representing local clubs.

The competition features various height categories, ranging from 70-90 cm, 100 cm, 110 cm, 120 cm, to 130 cm.

Heading the tournament's refereeing committee is Nader Al-Mustafa, with committee members including Lama Abdel-Aal, Tala Barakat, and Anna Choprinova. The course design responsibility falls upon rider Abdelaziz Al-Ajeel, with support from Ghadeer Nemati and Badr Al-Haifi serving as the arena referee, and Farah Al-Sarraj managing the warm-up arena.

International referee Lama Abdel-Al expressed that Kuwaiti equestrianism is currently at its peak, having witnessed the successful organization of two league championships and numerous international events, including those hosted by the private sector.

Abdel-Al noted, "There is a growing interest among young riders to participate in local tournaments, and we anticipate a promising future in the days to come."
