KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah affirmed on Tuesday that the project to link Kuwait’s strategic stock with cooperative societies is progressing according to plan, with the next phase set to complete financial and administrative integration and enhance stock management efficiency.
In a press statement following a meeting with the contracted company implementing the strategic stock linkage project, Dr. Al-Huwailah emphasized that the initiative forms part of the ministry’s broader efforts to develop digital systems, improve monitoring of the strategic stock, serve the public interest, and strengthen food security.
She stated that the project also reinforces institutional governance between the ministry and cooperative societies, paving the way for more coordinated and transparent operations across the country.
During the meeting, the mechanisms for auditing and verifying data submitted by cooperative societies before entering it into the system were reviewed. The Minister noted that these steps would significantly raise the level of accuracy and transparency in stock management, helping avoid discrepancies and enhancing oversight across multiple operational and administrative levels.
Dr. Al-Huwailah further underlined that the upcoming phase will focus on completing the financial and administrative integration between the ministry and cooperatives, thereby supporting improved management practices in the cooperative sector.
