KUWAIT CITY, Aug 18: The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that power has been restored to part of Abdullah Al-Salem suburb, with efforts continuing to fully restore electricity to the remaining affected areas.
The ministry said a main transformer at the Abdullah Al-Salem (A) substation went out of service due to a technical malfunction, resulting in a power outage affecting limited areas of Blocks 1 and 2.
Emergency teams were deployed to the site and are continuing work to restore the electricity supply as quickly as possible.
