KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7 : Kuwait’s Ministry of Education has reaffirmed its commitment to direct communication with teachers following decisions to transfer teachers and educational supervisory staff between schools.

The ministry said a group of teachers visited its headquarters to raise concerns and seek clarification about the transfer decisions. Ministry officials met with representatives of the teachers, listened to their questions and comments, and explained the procedures and regulations governing the transfers.

The ministry stressed that all complaints and grievances will be studied objectively and in accordance with approved rules and criteria. It also reaffirmed that its doors remain open to teachers and that their concerns will be handled with care and responsibility.

To facilitate the process, the ministry has opened an electronic grievance channel allowing teachers affected by the transfer decisions to submit their complaints, explain their reasons and follow up on their cases without the need for paper applications.

According to the ministry, the teacher transfer decisions are part of a plan to address imbalances in the distribution of educational and supervisory staff among schools and ensure that employees are assigned according to the actual needs of each school.

The ministry said the move aims to improve the balance of staffing, strengthen school stability, increase the efficiency of the educational process and direct teachers and supervisors to schools where they are most needed.

The Ministry of Education also expressed its appreciation for teachers, describing them as educators of generations and a cornerstone of the education system. It urged teachers to use approved channels when submitting concerns and grievances.

The ministry emphasized that serving students and improving education in Kuwait remain the shared goals of everyone working in the education sector, adding that cooperation, understanding and prioritizing educational interests are essential to the success of reform efforts.
