KUWAIT CITY, April 20:The General Directorate for Drug Control has dismantled a three-member drug trafficking gang and seized around 4,000 narcotic pills along with a firearm during a raid in the Al-Subiya desert.
According to a security source, authorities launched an operation after receiving confidential information about a group involved in distributing drugs to young people. Following several days of investigation, officers identified the suspects—who were found to have prior convictions related to drugs and theft—and placed them under surveillance.
The trio was arrested after their location was confirmed, with officers recovering narcotic pills, a firearm, and ammunition in their possession. During questioning, the suspects confessed to hiding a larger quantity of drugs at a desert camp in Al-Subiya.
Drug enforcement teams subsequently raided the site, where they uncovered approximately 4,000 additional narcotic pills. The suspects, along with the seized drugs and weapons, have been referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.
