KUWAIT CITY, June 29: The draw for the second West Asia Men’s Volleyball Championship, held via video conference, placed Kuwait’s national team in Group A alongside Qatar and Syria. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Muscat, Oman, from July 11 to 22.
Group B features hosts Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Lebanon, setting up a highly competitive stage as teams battle for qualification to the next round.
Kuwait will open its campaign with ambitions of progressing beyond the group stage, relying on its preparation phase ahead of the tournament. The technical and administrative staff is focused on delivering a strong performance and achieving positive results in the regional competition.
As part of its final preparations, the national team has already begun an overseas training camp in Cairo, Egypt.
The delegation is headed by Board Member Ziad Al-Anzi and includes team administrator Abdullah Al-Ali, Argentine head coach Julian Alvarez, assistant coach Zaid Al-Kazemi, fitness coach Agustin Javier, analyst Loqs Al-Borash, and physiotherapist Mohammed Al-Yamam.
The training camp squad includes Abdulnasser Al-Anzi, Rashid Anbar, Nasser Dashti, Ahmed Al-Menes, Fares Suleiman, Abdullah Fares Al-Anzi, Adhbi Al-Anzi, Omar Al-Anzi, Mohammed Al-Dhafiri, Abdullah Al-Muainaa, Fahd Saad Yacoub, Ali Sadoon, Talal Ahmed Abdulrazzaq, and Saud Al-Duwaisan.
